Advancing Reliability of Polymeric Insulators through μ-IPT™: A Novel Method for Evaluating Ageing Mechanisms
We’re proud to share that Kavin Bhuvan, PhD candidate at the University of Victoria and a long-time collaborator with ASAsoft® (Canada) Inc., will be presenting at the 2025 INMR World Congress in Panama next week.
His discourse, “Advancing Reliability of Polymeric Insulators through µ-IPT™: A Novel Method for Evaluating Ageing Mechanisms,” highlights new insights into polymer insulator performance under electrical and environmental stress.
Building on years of joint research between ASAsoft® and UVic, this work introduces the µ-IPT™ (Micro-Inclined Plane Test) method. This powerful diagnostic approach enhances understanding of material degradation and supports predictive reliability in next-generation composite insulators.
This milestone represents our shared commitment to innovation, grid modernization, and cleantech excellence in Canada and beyond.

📅 Session: October 22, 2025
📍 Venue: INMR World Congress, Panama City, Panama
